1/13/2025
This change only applies to UnitedHealthcare Select Plus PPO plans.
We wish to inform you of an update regarding the UnitedHealthcare Select Plus health plans for fully insured small groups (1-100) in California.
Effective January 1, 2025, for new business and groups renewing on or after January 1, 2025, these plans will no longer require members to select or be assigned a primary care provider (PCP) upon enrollment. Consequently, the PCP’s name will not be printed on health plan ID cards. Please note that this change applies exclusively to Select Plus plans in California; HMO plans will continue to necessitate a PCP assignment.
