WHA welcomes new doctors in Solano County
Just in time for open enrollment, WHA welcomes 28 new Hill Physician PCPs and their associated specialists to the network in Solano County for group and individual members. Together with NorthBay Healthcare, St. Joseph Health Medical Network and Hill Physicians Medical Group, that adds up to over 60 PCPs available to new and existing members in the count.
Providence St. Joseph Health's Expansion with a new, state-of-the-art facility
WHA is thrilled to share this virtual tour of the new Medical Arts Plaza at Providence St. Joseph Health in Santa Rosa. Their members will appreciate the convenience of having this brand-new medical office facility within easy reach and directly across from the hospital they know.
Extending COVID-19 coverage
WHA is extending $0 cost-sharing for COVID-19 treatment through December 31, 2020. They will continue to waive costs associated to treatments, such as copays and deductibles for related office visits and hospitalizations. In addition, $0 cost-sharing for testing and testing-related services continues under the national public health emergency period. All members, including those who are essential workers, should contact their PCP’s office for testing-related services and locations. Helping members reverse type 2 diabetes
To complement WHA's disease management programs. they’re gearing up for the launch of a new diabetes reversal program included in all plans starting in January 2021. In partnership with Virta Health, this innovative program works through nutritional ketosis without calorie-counting, surgery, or medication. 24/7 Urgent Care
To meet the changing needs of their members, WHA is pleased to now offer telehealth services through Teladoc, beginning in January 2021. While physician offices and medical groups have expanded their services using virtual visits recently, we have also added 24/7 urgent care by phone or video via the Teladoc app (or website: Teladoc.com). It allows members to connect to a doctor anywhere, for minor injuries such as sprains, strains, rashes, and cold/flu symptoms…without having to go to an urgent care location.

This electronic flipbook version features links to our social media sites and blogs, and articles with URLs that link directly to detailed information on our website. You’ll even be able to pull it up and have it read to you while you are working out or in the car. It’s just one more way WHA adds value to its members with health and wellness information and news.

It’s easy to forget during this busy time of year, but flu season is upon us. Getting a flu shot from your PCP’s office is easy and free. Their flu shot locations include designated clinics, whether walk-in or drive-in! Check out this resource flyer with numbers to call and share this reminder with your employer groups.
Coming soon – member flu shots at your pharmacy! In addition to flu shot services and locations provided by our medical groups, flu shots for members nine years of age and older will be available starting mid-November at participating pharmacies at no cost.
Annual creditable coverage information sent to employers
Letting you know that WHA has recently notified Medicare-eligible enrollees whether or not their prescription drug plan with WHA is creditable coverage. In addition, we sent a creditable coverage letter and fact sheet to employers for this communication and their obligation under the Medicare Modernization Act. For a list of WHA plans and their creditable coverage status, please visit choosewha.com/creditable. Employers will also find appropriate letter templates in both, English and Spanish.
